My baby, Foster, turned ONE in February, and we celebrated with the ultimate racecar party! 🏁 When choosing a theme, we wanted something that made sense for the time of year. Then, we realized his party date fell the day before Daytona 500—so a racecar theme was the perfect choice!

One of the best parts of a racecar party is how many fun decor options there are! I also have a lot of Mackenzie Childs Courtly Check serving pieces, which fit the theme beautifully. Black-and-white checkered prints? Red, Blue, Yellow, and speedway vibes? It all came together so easily! (And let’s be honest—I’m never casual when it comes to party decor! 😂)

Food & Activities 🍿🎨

To keep things fun yet simple, I planned the party for the afternoon, so we served snacks, drinks, and cake. But you know I couldn’t resist a themed food table packed with fun race-day snacks!

For activities, we rented a bounce house/slide to keep the older kids entertained, and I set up a racecar-themed coloring station with a giant coloring sheet, markers, and books for some creative fun!
